Vienna has a lot of great Christmas markets to offer – and all of them have their special charm for sure! One of my all time favourites is the one in Spittelberg in 7th district. The Christmas markets is in these super pretty, narrow streets with historical buildings and provides the cosiest festive feeling!
The markets offers a lot to discover and try – there is the Glühwein obviously and a variation of alcoholic fruit based hot drinks everywhere but also lots of food to choose from, from huge belgian waffles, hot dogs, käsekrainer (a cheese stuffed sausage) and so much more. But the most interesting part of the market for me are the craft and art stallkeepers with lots of handmade Jewellery, kitchen utensils, posters and art. There are a few stallkeepers with clothing and accessoires such as hats and scarfs as well – so really there is something for everyone to explore.
This Christmas market is one the cities favourites, so it can get quite crowed, but it is still manageable and cosy!
I hope you’ll have a great weekend! I can’t believe there are only 9 days left to Christmas – I’m so excited!
